You probably already know one of the fastest ways to build your online business is to build a mailing list and the best way to do that is through a squeeze page.

A Squeeze page has only one purpose and that purpose is to collect emails from a potential lead and that is it. When a potential lead lands on a squeeze page they are asked for their email in order for them to continue, so their details are essentially "squeezed' out of them. Hence the name squeeze page. This is usually in exchange for a free gift such a report or free digital product.

Many online marketers fail to effectively use their squeeze pages and can often miss out on a lot of extra subscribers because of this, you should be looking for about a 40% conversion on any squeeze page you create, anything less leaves room for improvement.

Here are 3 killer squeeze page conversion tips that when implemented should help you get those crucial conversions past the 40% mark.

1. Do Not Use The Name Field. In most instances conversions can be upped by around 10% by simply removing the name field, so instead of asking for "name & email" simply ask for "email" many people may be put off when asked for their name and many people don't even add their correct name anyway. Keep it simple and just ask for their email address.

2. No Leaks At All On The Page. A leak is a link or an advert for another service or website, or a link to your support desk, it is best to have absolutely no leaks or links at all on your page as it could draw people away form your offer. If people want to contact you they can do it after they opt-in.

3. Keep It Short And Sweet. Try to keep everything above the fold, the fold is the bottom of the page whereby the person visiting your page would have to scroll down to view any additional content, if you can keep everything the visitor needs to know above the fold you will have a killer squeeze page. All you really should be doing is listing a few key benefits showing what your offer is so the visitor can make a decision in seconds.

Remember, a squeeze page serves one purpose and that is to simply collect email addresses. That's all it needs to do, never ever forget that.
