The evolution of surfing over the years has been an interesting one. In some ways, surfing is still (the philosophical) man's grassroots one on one connection with nature. All it takes is a surfboard and some waves. The beauty of this sport is in its simplicity. On the other hand, the culture of surfing has virtually exploded over the years. What started out as the hobby of a few diehards has turned into a multi-billion dollar industry that has permeated everything from our speech to our clothing and has led kids all over the world to say "I want to be a pro surfer when I grow up."

These pro surfing women have a unique style - one that is completely unique to surfing. The beauty of the surf style is that it is absolutely accessible.

Unlike most of the fresh from the runways trends found in fashion magazines, surf style is all about embracing the beach attitude. It's about being comfortable in your favorite hoody and jeans in the winter and mixing and matching the tops and bottoms of your dozens of bikinis in the summer. It doesn't matter if you wear flip flops everywhere you go as long as you've got on your hottest pair of sunglasses to go with them.

Girls surfing style is all about being at ease in your own skin. Being confident and comfortable is sexier than revealing tons of skin any day of the week. Besides, you're revealing plenty of skin in your sexy bikinis all summer long - that is, before you throw on a rash guard and board shorts to go hit the waves. Now, tell me, what's sexier than that?
