Regardless of how far you have progressed in the job market, finding a good job and advancing in one's career have one thing in common. The more education you have, the better it is for you. Until now, you may have been putting off the idea of continuing your education. As the costs of attending a college or university consistently rise, this concern is certainly valid. However, if you would like to pursue your continuing education through an online school, there are options available to you for financial aid. You can now afford the online degree you really want.

There is a new program designed especially for veterans. The Yellow Ribbon GI Bill program makes going to school affordable for those who served for thirty-six months or more after September 1, 2001, or have service-related disabilities with an honorable discharge. If you feel that you qualify for this program, you can contact the Department of Veterans Affairs. It is also necessary to contact the school to be sure they participate in this program. The Yellow Ribbon GI Bill can make continuing education easy for you.

The new Federal Stimulus Legislation also helps to make continuing education affordable. It is designed to assist public universities and colleges. You can check with the school you have chosen to learn whether or not they are participating.

There is a variety of other options in financial aid. Some are based on the prospective student's personal circumstances. Single mothers, for example, are eligible for financial assistance. Whether you are eligible for student loans or not, there are a number of government grants available.

If you are not eligible for the Yellow Ribbon GI Bill program, the financial aid department of your school is a good place to begin. They can help in assessing your needs and qualifications, and inform you about which types of financial aid you are qualified to receive. The good news is that no matter what your personal or financial situation may be, continuing education is now within your reach. This wide range of financial aid for adult continuing education students makes earning your online degree an easy, affordable, and positive experience.

Don't allow your fear of the unknown stop your aspirations of continuing your education. Doing a little research goes a long way in making the right decision for your future. Use the Internet, your local library, or the school's admissions office as resources. Get the answers you need before turning down an amazing opportunity.

  • Mexican Revolutionaries: Emiliano Zapata (Robert Nickel)
Emiliano Zapata was one of the main figures in the Mexican Revolution of 1910, commander of the Liberation Army of the South and still revered as a hero to this day. In his forty years of life, he became a bona fide force of nature. Born to a family of peasants, he was privy to the horrendous treatment of the poor, by rich hacienda landowners, who were able to control much of the land due to the policies set in place by President Porfirio Diaz.

  • Mexican Revolutionaries: Pancho Villa (Robert Nickel)
When it comes to the Mexican Revolution of 1910-1929, there are a few men who played an extremely large role in the first several years of the fight; one of the most famous is the general Pancho Villa. As the commander of the revolutionary army's Division of the North and the governor of the state of Chihuahua, his role in the conflict was indelible; for better or worse, modern day Mexico would not be the same without him.

  • Pedro Lascurain: President Of Mexico For One Hour (Robert Nickel)
Popular tabloids love to focus on the shortest celebrity marriages, some of which only lasted for a few hours; there's something bizarre and interesting about seeing an institution that's supposed to last a lifetime dissolve in such a short time period. There's a similar weirdness surrounding extremely short terms of leadership of a country ...but the world's briefest-serving president was a pawn in a larger game.

  • The Mexican Revolution: Huerta's Presidency (Robert Nickel)
When the Mexican Revolution began in 1911, it was tough to discern the exact goals of the rebels. They had ousted president Porfirio Diaz, urged on by the new leader, Francisco Madero. The liberal and conservative factions in the country, who'd been locked in a power struggle for nearly a century, were more antagonistic than ever. It was a situation ripe with opportunity for exploitation and power grabs, and that's exactly what happened.
