Fact: the way to get ahead in the business world is to get an MBA. Those three simple letters—MBA—stand for power, immediate impact, and big-time salaries. In fact, according to the U.S. News & World Report, an MBA from an accredited institution will fetch a starting salary right around the six-figures mark. The most prestigious business schools such as Harvard, Columbia, or Stanford easily usher graduates into 130k jobs after graduation. As you consider the prospect of an MBA, has it ever occurred to you to get a Christian MBA? You may not have known that there is such a thing as a Christian MBA, but Christian schools around the country are realizing the value of a Christian worldview in business education. Christian businesspeople are eagerly signing up for these programs. Here's why.

Bible Business Savvy
Learning from management experts and business gurus is an important part of the MBA. An important part of the Christian MBA is listening to Jesus. The principles from the Bible aren't just relevant for Sunday School and small group Bible Studies. They have immediate relevancy for the rough-and-tumble world of business. The Bible teaches a code of ethics that will earn you immediate respect, regardless of your situation. The Bible teaches honesty, open communication, respect, honor, obedience, and a flawless work ethic—all of which are indispensable principles in the business world. The Christian MBA does invest you with powerful business training, but adds the indispensable component of a biblical worldview.

Success is More Than Money
As a Christian, you realize that success is more than just earning a lot of money or achieving a management position. Even if you are earning six figures right after graduation, this will not ultimately satisfy you. Ultimate satisfaction comes from living a life of integrity and honesty. A Christian MBA not only trains you in the practice of business excellence, but also emphasizes the principles of life excellence. What you have at the end of your program is a form of success that will earn you financial reward, but will also give you success in the eyes of God—forever.

The Real Way to Make a Legacy in the Business World
Many people who enter the business profession have high hopes of rapidly growing a company, achieving a C-level position, or appearing on the cover of Forbes. While none of those are wrong, they are not the real way to make a legacy in the business world. Making a lasting legacy means investing your life in the lives of others by means of your Christian influence. A Christian MBA will give you business tools, but it will also give you ability in Christian principles, so your legacy is one that will be imprinted in the lives and hearts of your colleagues.

The Value of Eternal Reward
If you exercise Christian ethics and principles in your business life, you will receive reward. Many of the principles and techniques taught or implied in secular business schools may give you sharp business acumen, but do they teach you high standards and blameless ethics? Chances are, they don't. Now is the time for Christian businesspeople to earn Christian MBAs. Earning a Christian MBA will equip you to let your light shine before men, so they may glorify your Father who is in heaven (Matthew 5:16). In this way, you will be laying up treasure in heaven—the kind of treasure that you will never lose (Matthew 6:19-21).

Emiliano Zapata was one of the main figures in the Mexican Revolution of 1910, commander of the Liberation Army of the South and still revered as a hero to this day. In his forty years of life, he became a bona fide force of nature. Born to a family of peasants, he was privy to the horrendous treatment of the poor, by rich hacienda landowners, who were able to control much of the land due to the policies set in place by President Porfirio Diaz.

  • Mexican Revolutionaries: Pancho Villa (Robert Nickel)
When it comes to the Mexican Revolution of 1910-1929, there are a few men who played an extremely large role in the first several years of the fight; one of the most famous is the general Pancho Villa. As the commander of the revolutionary army's Division of the North and the governor of the state of Chihuahua, his role in the conflict was indelible; for better or worse, modern day Mexico would not be the same without him.

  • Pedro Lascurain: President Of Mexico For One Hour (Robert Nickel)
Popular tabloids love to focus on the shortest celebrity marriages, some of which only lasted for a few hours; there's something bizarre and interesting about seeing an institution that's supposed to last a lifetime dissolve in such a short time period. There's a similar weirdness surrounding extremely short terms of leadership of a country ...but the world's briefest-serving president was a pawn in a larger game.

  • The Mexican Revolution: Huerta's Presidency (Robert Nickel)
When the Mexican Revolution began in 1911, it was tough to discern the exact goals of the rebels. They had ousted president Porfirio Diaz, urged on by the new leader, Francisco Madero. The liberal and conservative factions in the country, who'd been locked in a power struggle for nearly a century, were more antagonistic than ever. It was a situation ripe with opportunity for exploitation and power grabs, and that's exactly what happened.

  • Victoriano Huerta: Enter The Villain (Robert Nickel)
In any good story, there are heroes and villains, clear-cut in their intentions and motives. History however, is not always so black and white; the man who is a savior to some is a killer to others. It takes a lot to impact a country so completely that its citizens revile you almost universally for the next century - but Victoriano Huerta managed to do so (while serving as the President of Mexico).

  • Why Did The Mexican Revolution Happen? (Robert Nickel)
History is the accumulation of millions of moments that build on one another and eventually result in revolutions, constructions, and change.
