Many people understand that fruits and vegetables are helpful for the body. However, very few know that eating them raw is better than cooking them. Eating raw vegetables allows us to get the full enzymes in vegetables that the body needs in order to become strong and healthy.

In order to maximize juicing benefits, one has to understand the nutrients and minerals that each fruit and vegetable contains so that he or she can blend it together and be able to find the right formula that will target medical conditions and health problems. For example, if you are diabetic and want to avoid using corn in juicing recipes, you could substitute cucumbers instead. Knowing the right fruit and vegetables to eat can make a huge difference.

Things to remember during the juicing process:

- Wash all vegetables properly in order to avoid ingesting pesticides and fertilizers and to maximize juicing benefits. ñ When juicing the oranges and grapefruit, make sure to peel the skin off in order to get the vitamins; for apples, make sure to keep the skin on order to retain the essential vitamins.
- Cucumbers can have a wax solution on them; you'll want to wash this off and remove the peeling before juicing. You won't be able to get the most juicing benefits if you get sick because of poor ingredient preparation.
- Some vegetables - such as beets, leafy greens, parsley, and wheat grass - can be too strong; it's best to dilute these items before using.
- When using produce that has seeds, make sure to remove the seeds in order to juice them perfectly.
- Some vegetables, like beets, can be bitter. To enhance the flavor, add some fruit in the mixture, like apples or grapes, in order to give your juice a sweeter taste. You can also combine it with some honey and choice vegetables.
