Persist, Persist, Persist at Creating Your New Life

Wow, I can't believe how far I've come in the internet marketing business. I can't really believe I've come out of that state of overwhelm. I don't know how people do it today. There is so much coming at them. There are so many e-mails coming with informational, educational videos, etc. and I hate to pass those up, because everyone has new ideas. There are so many offers coming out, and they often sound very tempting. And I believe many marketers are giving away more and more information. I also think they are coming up with better and better deals because of the competition. Also, the internet continues changing and re-inventing itself. Unless you are constantly networking and have a team working full-time on the internet, you cannot keep up with all of this. So, when one is a beginner or looking to start small on the internet, it is easy to be blown away but all of it.

I also get mixed messages. For example, recently I saw a video saying that submitting articles to certain major article directories was more important that trying to hit a lot of directories, but someone else believes that submityourarticle.com is the only way to go. I'm not commenting on either preference, but commenting on how newbies have to sort out all the information they get. It took me some time, but now I seem to have things pretty clear in my mind about what needs to be done and how to do it. I hear negatives and positives about pay-per-click and based on the money one can spend being new to internet marketing, I have chosen to avoid pay-per-click. I have lost money while following directions carefully so I would rather spend my money on information that PPC. I find the videos and articles and parasite marketing pages interesting enough.

I find the internet to be this huge world in itself, and there is so much to do, I find I have to set limits, leave the computer, and go exercise and/or have some family fun. But it is great to feel things start to turn around, where you start to make money on the internet, and start seeing your reputation grow. Then it becomes pretty awesome, but it's kind of like that leap from "I'm overwhelmed!" to "I know what I'm doing.!" The change is gradual and you don't really know it until you look backwards. I'm surprised at how much I've learned, how much I've grown, and how sure I am of success, compared to those beginnings. My strategies keep evolving and my goals keep changing along with my work. I don't think I could have explained these changes or predicted them. They just keep happening.

So, for the "newbies" to the internet world - keep on swinging the bat, and before you know it, you'll be in the world series of internet marketing, or maybe your goal is only to be playing every game consistently and well, hitting homeruns, compared to when you started and you were missing the ball. You can do it. I hate to sound silly, but I want to say "If I can do it, anyone can do it."
