Our solicitors are often asked whether making a work accident claim will cost anything. Many potential claimants are concerned they will face large legal fees, hidden costs and deductions from their compensation award. However, this should not be a worry, as we promise you will not have to pay a penny.
No Win No Fee Agreements
But how is it possible to make a claim without having to pay any money? The answer is with a no win no fee agreement, otherwise known as a Conditional Fee Agreement (CFA).
No win no fee agreements mean that your solicitor will only charge legal fees if the claim is successful. However, if you do win your case, you will not be the one footing the bill. Instead the other side must pay for both your solicitor and your compensation award. You will receive 100% of the agreed compensation settlement - there will be no deductions made whatsoever. Nevertheless, this issue is currently being debated in Parliament, and so may change in the future.
So what happens if you lose your case? As mentioned above, if you are not successful, your solicitor will not ask for payment. You will also be protected against paying the other side's costs, as your solicitor will take out an 'After the Event' (ATE) insurance policy on your behalf. This will cover any expenses that must be paid in the event you lose your case. Therefore whether you win or lose your case, you will not have to pay a penny.
What About Hidden Costs?
Furthermore, you can feel safe in the knowledge that you will not encounter any hidden costs. We don't charge any fees and you will receive all of your compensation. We believe communication is of the utmost importance, so if you have any questions or need further clarification, we will be more than happy to assist.
