After your video is uploaded to youtube there's a couple of things you can do to make your video more search engine friendly and to get it more views. The first step is to take advantage of related groups on youtube. Make sure you do not spam any of these. Take it seriously and engage in conversations and share your video. Nothing good ever came from spamming. This way you will also begin to add friends therefore when you make new videos your friends will see them first. You can also add your video url to sites like digg and facebook to help get some links coming into your video, which makes it a lot more google friendly. The last activity you can do to promote your video is to leave video responses on related videos on youtube.
With all these actions steps there's no reason you can't start driving traffic to your website using youtube. Just remember there's a world of information out there and this is just the tip of the ice burg if you want to become successful.
