Not in the mood to shave, get dressed up, or make reservations at a local eatery? Why not try one of these effort-free ideas for a low key date night with your significant other or spouse.

When was the last time the two of you caught a sunrise? Most likely, if you are like most others, it has not been since your early dating days, if ever. It may be a cliché, but it's always a romantic gesture. Check out the time for the specific day you have in mind (as you know the times change daily) online, as all information is at your fingertips. Just set your alarm for an hour or so prior to the sunrise and get ready to see this beautiful every-day event. Bring a blanket, some bagels or pastries, and a thermos of coffee and enjoy the calmness of the morning hours together. If you are not a morning person, try watching a beautiful sunset with cheese, crackers, salami, olives, and fruit, along with some iced tea, sparkling apple cider or wine and enjoy!

Or, if the sunrise or sunset doesn't fancy your likings, what about a game of an old time favorite sport, bowling? When going out to bowl, there is no need to dress up whatsoever. For this fun experience, just throw on some jeans, a casual top or a sweat shirt and head to your nearest bowling alley for cheap beer, peanuts and some healthy laughs! A little competition can be a major turn on, so make a "friendly" wager with your honey. Also an added bonus to bowling is the benefit of exercise in this past-time. You are a winner any way you look at the situation!

Another fun idea is checking out the hottest new art exhibit in your area. Most local art galleries regularly celebrate new exhibitions at least once per month and some even offer free wine and cheese for the foot traffic. You can also go casual and mingle with the other seekers of interest!

Do you play Scrabble? If not, give it a try! This is a fun game of words and can bring much laughter and even the learning of a new word or two. The game of Scrabble can be played any time during the day, so it is another casual time for one and all. If the weather is nice, go outside to a local park and enjoy the natural surroundings and relax and have fun! Dating does not have to break the bank; just use a little imagination and be creative.
