Hmmm...cheap romantic gifts for her? At first it might appear that 'cheap' and 'romantic' would be best kept apart. After all, diamonds are a girls best friend, aren't they?

But unfortunately with things the way they are at the moment, there are a huge number of people (with you obviously being one of them) who are being forced to look for more creative ways to get romantic.

Have A Romantic Dinner...In The Comfort Of Your Own Home

Nothing says romance like candles, soft music and a well cooked meal. If you have any skills in the kitchen at all, use them to provide an evening she'll never forget.

Some ideas for making it special include:

* Actually type up the menu in a fancy font and print it on quality paper if you can.

* Candles are obviosuly always impressive, especially where it's possible to dim the lights a little.

* Dessert is a must for any romantic dinner.

* Remember its all about her: cook her favourite meal, choose her favourite wine, play her favourite tunes

Get A Bit Sentimental

If you're trying to compensate for having less money to spend on the gift, you need to display to her that you've put some thought into it.

A good way to do this is to use some shared experience from the past, and organise something that evokes memories from this special moment.

Maybe it was the first place you met, or where you kissed for the first time. Think of somewhere special and then organise a visit there with some sort of picnic set up, or simply a bottle of champagne. Make it more about the time you spend together, rather than what you are physically giving her.

Finding a cheap romantic gift for her doesn't always have to be about buying something cheap. You are always better going with something that displays your more thoughtful side...I'm assuming that you have one of those?
