For example, it's common for women to engage in very emotional behaviors in order to try to get their ex partners back. Women can't help it because they are simply more emotionally led than men are. Women are taught from the time that they are young to relate to each other on an emotional level. Therefore, when women engage with others in an emotional manner, they feel that they are either making a relationship, or doing what it takes to be heard and understood. Certainly, you might believe that you could win your ex back from another person by engaging in serious displays of emotion.

However, what you might not understand is that men aren't bred to be emotionally led. In fact, men are bred to be in control of their emotions. They are even taught to hide their emotions. Therefore, men in general not only don't understand strong emotional displays, they are actually turned off by strong emotional displays. These displays include whining, pleading, shouting, crying, acting jealous and acting controlling. If you have been engaging in these behaviors, then you can understand why you haven't been able to win your ex back from someone else.
