If you have travelled abroad in the past and visited countries that are not a part of the European Union you will know that there are some countries that you cannot enter without a visa. When you need to travel to places like Delhi on business you will need an India visa for business. If you look at the passport and visa website you will see that there are several types of visas available. When you go to India for a holiday you need a different type of Indian visa than you need for business.

You should apply for your India visa no sooner than three months before the date that you wish to travel. The great thing about applying for your visa online is that you don\'t have to wait around at the Indian embassy in London to obtain your visa. Applying for the document online just couldn\'t be easier as all of the instructions are on the website. You must have a current valid passport with at least six months left on it and a clear page for the visa stamp.

Online Indian visas are delivered to you within days of you making your application. When you apply for your visa you need to ensure that you have two passport sized, signed, recent photographs of yourself and two stamped envelopes, one of which should be addressed to you. Business visas are issued for six or twelve months respectively and you must include a copy of a letter of invitation from the Indian company with whom you hope to do business. Unless you submit a copy of the letter of invitation with your visa application, you will not be granted an India visa for business. Unless you have a visa you will not be allowed to enter India.

If you have received notification from your company regarding a business trip to India and they require you to depart within a matter of weeks, you should apply for your Indian visa immediately. When you submit your application form and all of the required supplementary documents but do not want to trust your application to the regular post, you can opt to have it picked up and returned to your door by courier. Providing all your documents are in order and the letter of invitation has been included with your application, you should receive your visa within a few days of applying for it.
