One concept that makes a lot of sense when it comes to making money on the Internet is residual income. In this article let's take a look at answering the question of what is residual income!
There are many different ways you can make money online, but residual income gives you the opportunity to get paid over and over for making one sale. For example, if you sell a website hosting product you can earn a commission every month that the hosting account is active.
Many people choose to join affiliate programs as a way to make money. Clickbank is an example of an affiliate program where you can make money selling a product one time. They also now offer many products that you can earn a recurring income on.
Recurring income is another way to say residual income. Again it just means that you are going to get paid every month for making one sale. So ask yourself this question, would you rather get paid one time or get paid multiple times for making one sale?
Network marketing is another form of residual income business. You can make commissions on the efforts of other people and continue to get paid for those on a residual basis.
This has always been one of the main draws of network marketing and many times it's been referred to as a walkaway income. It certainly can be an income that you can walk away from when it is residual and large enough to cover your monthly needs.
Another benefit to residual income is, it gives you something to shoot for on a long-term basis. What we mean by that is you are constantly working to create a book of business that is paying you long after you quit working.
In the old days of sales, an insurance salesman would sell policies to people that paid them every month or every year that the policy was in force. It wasn't unusual for someone to be earning commissions on policies that they had sold many years before.
The Internet gives you that same opportunity because you can utilize websites and blogs to sell affiliate products and you get paid over and over for making a one time sale. Therefore what you do is spend most of your time working on creating traffic and then letting your website and blog do the selling.
This should answer the question "what does residual income online mean"?. It is a great concept that you will want to get involved in.
