If you have been researching natural artery cleansing then you are probably aware of the supplements that you can add to your daily regimen to help cleanse your arteries of plaque buildup. Vitamin C, garlic and CoQ10 are just a few that have been proven to help lower your cholesterol and cleanse your arteries. But these supplements are not the only way to clean out those arteries. Read on to discover some very important information that will help you get rid of that plaque buildup that is putting you at a high risk for a stroke or heart attack.

To really cleanse your arteries the natural way, you have got to change some bad habits. Your arteries have become clogged because of the types of food you have chosen to eat over the years. You need to distinguish the difference between good fats and bad fats. Good fats are the fats found in foods like nuts, flax seed, virgin olive oil, olives, avocados and fresh water fish. These fats actually work with your body to lower your cholesterol and stop the plaque from forming in your arteries.

But the problem lies in the fact that the list of bad fats is a lot longer than the list of good fats. Almost all foods that are found in the grocery stores today contain bad fats. The reason is because a lot of the food is now processed to extend the shelf life. This makes sense for the economy and for the food industry. But it is dangerous for the consumer.

These processed foods contain hydrogenated oils. Hydrogenated oils are oils that are artificially processed. These oils are found in every baked, fried and sometimes frozen item found on the store shelves. Hydrogenated oils are responsible for plaque build up in your body because your body cannot metabolize these artificially produced oils.

So how do you keep these dangerous oils out of your diet? Simple, learn to read the labels of everything you buy. If the ingredients contain the words "hydrogenated" or "partially hydrogenated" then you should not eat it.

Lack of exercise is a big contributor to plaque buildup also. When you exercise, you will have more blood flowing through your arteries which will help to open them up and help keep plaque from forming. Exercise will also help you lose weight and make you feel better and more energized throughout the day.

So while it is a great idea to use natural supplements to cleanse your arteries, it is equally important that you change the bad habits that clogged your arteries in the first place. Change your diet, drink plenty of water and get more exercise. All of these things will work together to produce squeaky clean arterial walls and lower your risk for life threatening diseases.
