Aging is a natural life process, but you don't have to let it ruin your looks. Many people have discovered anti aging secrets that keep them looking twenty years younger than they really are. So if you find yourself starting to cringe when you look in the mirror, read on to discover some great natural ways to combat the effects of aging.

Eating a healthy diet that includes plenty of fruits and vegetables will help you look younger. It can also help you maintain a healthy weight. Fresh fruits and vegetables are packed with plenty of vitamins and anti oxidants that can nourish your skin and hair to keep you looking younger.

Your lifestyle choices are very important when it comes to looking younger. Smoking, drinking and drug use will make you look twenty years older. These substances strip your body of much needed nutrients and they will do major damage to your organs. It is very easy to spot someone who has substance abuse issue by the way their skin looks. Smokers have tiny wrinkles around their eyes and lips and sometimes they will have gaunt looking faces. Heavy drinking interferes with the absorption of the nutrients needed for your body to function properly. It will also put you at a high risk for mouth, throat and stomach cancer. The damages caused by drug use are too many to list for this short article, but just know that all drug abuse, whether it is prescription or illegal, will damage your body and age you fast.

If you are eating a healthy diet and exercising regularly, that is a great start to looking younger. Remember that you need to drink plenty of water on a daily basis to cleanse your body of toxins and to hydrate your skin.

It is also important that you take a good combination of vitamins and minerals daily. You may be eating healthy but with the processing of foods these days, some vitamins and minerals are lost. So you really need to supplement.

Fresh air and sunshine can do wonders for the way you look, provided you don't burn. Get outside and take in deep breaths of clean air to fill your lungs. You will feel much better and you will look younger because of the increased flow of oxygen to your skin and other major organs.

Use a good cleanser on your face every day. This is important for men and women. The daily effects of pollution and other environmental factors can clog pores and dry out your skin. It can cause the skin to wrinkle and make you look much older than you really are. So a nightly ritual of good facial cleansing is a must to combat the aging process.

You only get one body and one chance at life. Take very good care of the body you are given and enjoy your life to the fullest. People that enjoy life will not only feel younger, they will look younger!
