We live in a society that glorifies fast food and "ho-hums" organic food. While organic food has many benefits with its naturally organic plant grown pesticide, it still raises some health disease controversy, although less than non-organic food. Organic foods are a little more expensive than regular foods, yet some feel they taste and feel better in the body. They are also becoming more popular as each year since the 90's, their sales have grown 20%.

There is also organic farming and organic cows too. These cows produce milk without antibiotics, growth hormones, pesticides, and cloning. They are also fed with organic pasture, organic grains, and organic vitamin and mineral supplements. It has been stated that these organic cows are very peaceful and calm with their diets.

As for the fast food junkies out there and the junk food addicts, there will always be a market for you. The frozen food aisles at the supermarket offer many microwavable options with usually a high sugar and fat content. Although after each year that passes, our grocery store shelves seem to have more health- conscious foods, even in the frozen food aisle. Is it this generation that is creating this movement?

We keep living longer each year, as more media ads and grocery store shelves try going organic and healthy. Eating a more organic diet, with our supplements, bottled water, and exercise, we are staying healthy for a much longer period of time.

What ever happened to the good old days of beer and rock and roll? Those days are here but it is micro-brewed beer and wide varieties of music at an I Pod fingertip. So we are so much healthier, yet our hectic lives bring back the fast food and junk for convenience. So many more people I talk with today have many healthy snacks stored in their "Trader Joe's" cooler recyclable bag, and these same people have gone to basics in their attempt to eliminate most packaged food from their food plans. The interest seems to lean towards a health awareness race that cares what they eat.

Going green and recycling are also on the rise in our society. We care more about the "Earth" and also about our "bodies". Some individuals are really up to speed with all of this, while others are just catching on. It should not matter where you are, as long as you are "aware" of this very enlightened attitude.

Bee well in you life, and see the progress, not perfection.

Going green and organic makes for a more peaceful world.
