Many car owners fail to see the necessity of having both collision and comprehensive coverage on their policies. So it's important to know exactly what purpose each of these coverages serves and how they both contribute to your overall protection. Without a good grip on this issue, you may be paying too much for coverage you don't need or lacking coverage that you really do need.

Avoid the confusion and disappointment that can occur when you file a claim only to find that your coverage is not as thorough as you thought.
