Travel compression socks are socks that look like any other sock, but they don't feel like any other socks that you own. Travel compression socks are socks that are designed to make your legs, ankles and feet feel as if they are alive and energized even during times when you can't move around to get the blood flowing. Travel compression socks get the blood flowing for you.

Travel compression socks aren't just made for traveling, but they are called travel compression socks because they were designed with the traveler in mind. Have you ever been on a long airplane flight, in the window seat, where you just didn't have the room to stand up and move around, or couldn't get by the big, sleeping guy in the seat next to you? Then you know the need for travel compression socks.

Have you ever traveled a long distance in the back seat of a car, where you don't have anywhere to move your legs and your feet stay stationary for hours at a time because the driver won't pull over and let you out until he needs to stop for gas? Then you have experienced the feeling you get when you aren't getting the proper blood flow to your feet, ankles and lower legs. You know the need for travel compression socks; you just didn't know travel compression socks were available. Until now, that is.

When your feet and legs are immobile and getting no blood circulation to them, they will begin to swell and they will become first tingly, with the feeling of pins and needles going through them, and then they will become painful. Travel compression socks alleviate this pain and uncomfortable swelling by constantly compressing your feet, ankles and lower legs in order to allow the blood to flow better through them. With travel compression socks you won't even have the need to get up and move around as often, which means that you might just get where you want to go more quickly.

Finding travel compression socks to purchase might be a little tricky if you don't know exactly where to find them. One place to look is at your local pharmacy or if you have a medical supply store nearby. Look near the Ted Hose and medical Support Stocking section for them. You can also find travel compression socks online to order and have them sent directly to your home or office in plenty of time before your next long airplane or car ride.
