Everyone’s life has a purpose. Determining what it is may take some time for some while others seemingly stumble into it. Those who don’t find it early in their life may have to do a deeper self-examination to know exactly where they are meant to be go or do.

The first hint to knowing what your life’s purpose is would be to make a write down your talents, abilities, and gifts you are born with. Take a minute to answer these simple questions:

• Are you into music or the theater?
• Do you find it easy to communicate?
• Is socializing your thing?
• Are you obsessed with decorating your home?
• Do you know how to take charge?
• Do you enjoy making crafts or maybe painting and drawing?
• Are you good at understanding electronic gadgets?
• Is computer technology a subject you excel in?
• Are you frequently complimented for your style?
• Can you write well?
• Are you excellent in organizing projects?

As soon as you figure out what comes naturally for you, then you’d get an idea on what to do next. Isn’t being naturally gifted already a big hint of your purpose?

What Activities Do You Have a Blast Doing?

Have you considered what it is that you really want to do? The world is full of opportunities and the possibilities are endless. You can start however, with the talents you naturally have. Think what you would like to do with those gifts. It could be that you want to teach, make a living performing, or create some form of business.

• Being musically inclined gives you the option of performing in front of many people or you can teach to a small group.
• If you love socializing, you’re most likely going to love organizing social events.
• If you’re into redecorating your own home, you might want to consider doing other people’s homes for a fee.
• If you’re a born leader, you might want to head your own company or you could lead a department in your church.
• If you like making crafts, you may want to start an online business, teach kids, or enter a career related to graphic arts.
• If you like tinkering with electronics, you might want to work at the local electronics store or make a living fixing equipment.
• A background in computers could get you a job online or for a tech company. Why not start a business of your own?
• If you like keeping up with fashion trends, you can choose to design accessories or clothing. You could earn a lot being a personal shopper. Do you enjoy working in a retail store? You can work as a consultant to fashion too.
• You may not realize that you love writing. See if blogging comes easily to you. It’s a great way to earn while at home. You’ll be surprised that you’re earning more than what you expected.
• Use your skills of organization in various ways.

You can make a living entering homes and put everything in the right order. Advertise your organizing services online. You’d be amazed how many people need your skill.

Do any of these sound interesting to you? Determining your purpose in life takes some self-reflection and testing the possibilities. Don’t waste your time by aimlessly going from one thing to another without any enthusiasm. As soon as you find your purpose, don’t make an excuse. Pursue it and live it to get total fulfillment.
