Is it really possible for one to evade public speaking? It is not actually possible because at some point in a person's life, whether in ones place of work, social organization one belongs to or even place of worship, the need to address some persons or group of persons will arise in order for certain issues to be settled. Most of us aspire to be in the helm of affairs of the firm, company or organization we work in. To aspire to such height, one must be ready to perform the task of public speaking every now and then, since this is one of the basic techniques in successfully managing an outfit, communication.

Public speaking in the real sense of it is not supposed to stress one out. For the art of public speaking to be stress free, one needs to comprehend some or most of the concealed sources of stress associated to public speaking. Taking note and working on these concealed sources will go a long way in transforming the art of public speaking from being a stressful practice to being a stimulating and refreshing experience to every one concerned.

Listed below are useful tips that will aid in the transformation of public speaking from being stressful to being stimulating. They are:

1. Knowing the Presentation Content: In preparing for a public speaking exercise, one should try as much as possible to familiarize oneself with the content of the presentation, even more than the content of the assignment. You can spice up the presentation by adding bits of humor, that if you can handle it, stories and most of all, be chatty and informal.

2. Knowing the Listeners: Try as much as possible to familiarize yourself with some if not most of the persons that would make up your listening audience. Greet and welcome them. In doing this you are invariably making friends with them and in so doing, your presentation will run smoothly because you are convinced that they are then friends and not people you have not seen or heard about. 4.

3. Blend with the Environment: For one to effectively make a presentation in a given environment, it is advised that the person turn up at the venue of the presentation earlier. This will grant him or her opportunity to move around the podium, initiate a kind of rehearsals that will aid in effective use of the microphone and any other illustration or images that might be used.

4. Be Positive: Some persons go on stage having it at the back of their mind that the audience might be hostile. Such thought should not run through your mind when you are preparing to deliver a speech or presentation. Instead in the opposite, your listeners would really want to get something stimulating, engaging and really informative from you.
