In today's slow paced economic environment, many individuals would like to know where they can find part-time jobs. Part-time positions offer flexibility and the opportunity for people to sample out a field that they may be interested in. Such jobs can be found through the Internet, print classified listings, and word of mouth. Each of these methods will be discussed in detail below.

To begin, people can find part-time positions through looking on the internet. They can first look at job search sites and then the classified sections of local newspapers in their towns. It is also possible to conduct searches through the major search engines using the keyword terms part-time and then examine the results that come up. Last but not least, job seekers can check out freelance and temporary agency websites to see what kinds of positions that have that span on a part-time basis.

Next, people could look at print classified listings to see the different part-time positions that exist. It is especially helpful for them to look at listings in their local newspapers, as they are more apt to contain jobs which would not require a long commute (by virtue of their being in the local paper.)The Sunday sections of local papers are typically best, as they contain the most jobs and are read the most by people.

Last but not least, people can look for part-time work through speaking with family and friends. In this economy, perhaps those who the job seekers know could point them toward businesses that they know of who need extra help. In fact, if job seekers are open to accepting retail or fast food jobs, such establishments typically have help wanted signs prominently displayed in their front windows.

In conclusion, many individuals are looking for part time work today. Some of the places where such positions could be found include the Internet, print classified listings, and family and friends.

The choice of jobsites via the major search engines is amazing, there are many specialist jobsites covering every job market and niche imaginable. There are also several large generalist sites with over 100,000 vacancies in some cases and then there are the job aggregation sites which bring together all the vacancies from the major job boards as well as many recruitment agencies. If you are looking to maximise your exposure you could do worse than to register your CV on several of the larger job boards CV database, this can attract the attention of many recruitment consultants.
