Well-written articles are tried and tested online marketing tools that work. In fact, consumers today pay more attention on reading about the product before actually making a purchase. The use of commercials and banner ads are still working but not as effectively as providing consumer information. Thus, every online marketer must learn the art of writing online marketing articles.

Below are ten tips to help you in writing articles that will get published.

1) Write outstanding articles. Who wants to read a sloppy material? Of course, no one would want to waste their time reading something uninteresting. Write articles that will give information, educate, enlighten and entertain your audience.

2) Identify your audience. Knowing who you are writing for will help you write more effectively. Who is your target audience and what would they like to know? What are the things that would interest them?

3) Know what to write. In order to be an effective writer, you have to be knowledgeable about the topic or subject you are discussing. Do not pretend to be an expert on things that you are not. Stick with your own field.

4) Research, research, research. Just because you are knowledgeable on the subject does not mean you should stop exploring on it. Your goal as a writer should be to provide new information continuously. Be always on the look out for new things that would be beneficial for your audience.

5) Speak clearly when you write. Say exactly what you mean and do not complicate things by using unnecessary jargon and metaphors. These words are best left for novelists and poets. As an online marketer, you should stick to simple terms that can easily be understood by your readers.

6) Be accurate. Make sure that the details you provide in your articles are accurate and true. It is your responsibility to convey facts to your readers and not to mislead them with unproven statements. If you are not sure about something, make sure that you acknowledge this in your article.

7) Edit your articles. Publishers are very picky when it comes to the grammatical quality and formatting of articles. Make sure that your articles will be accepted by proofreading and editing your work before submitting them. Watch out for typographical errors and incorrect use of punctuations.

8) Hire a ghostwriter. If you do not have the time or energy to write your own articles, you can always hire a freelancer to write articles for you. The rate of freelance writers is fairly reasonable and inexpensive. The key is finding a writer who really knows what she is doing.

9) Submit your articles. Spend time in manually submitting your articles to search engines, directories and social bookmarking sites. Reach out to more audience by promoting your articles on the web.

10) Be consistent. Just because you have already written some articles, you should stop writing altogether. Writing articles for online marketing purposes is a continuous process. Keep on writing fresh articles and find ways to make your articles as interesting as your old ones.
