The internet is filled with a plethora of legitimate opportunities for you to pursue. Unfortunately, there are countless work from home scams you must be wary of at the same time. You can end up wasting a lot of time and money online if you are not careful. Here are five indications you may be looking at a scam.

1. Unrealistic claims Work from home scams are infamous for making bogus claims that are simply unrealistic. All over the internet you will find programs claiming you can make thousands of dollars in your first week or can become rich while allowing the system to do the rest of the work for you. As soon as you see any claims like this made, run!

2. How are you going to make money? It is interesting to see sales pages that ramble on and on about how much money you will make through the program. After all, money is the reason we are all online looking for business. The problem scams make is they never tell you exactly how you are going to make money with them.

3. Unappealing product Although an unappealing product is not necessarily a scam, not telling you what the product is or all of the details about the product is. Work from home scams will highlight the one or two appealing features a service or product has to offer and never mention the rest of the details. Make sure you know everything prior to joining any programs.

4. No free trial or money back guarantee One indication that the service or product is not worth joining in the first place is if the company does not offer a free trial or money back guarantee. Of course, there are tremendous companies out there that offer neither of these. Just know you are much safer going with a program that allows you to test out the product first or get your money back if you are unsatisfied.

5. No contact information The final indication to look for with work from home scams is a lack of contact information on the sells page or web site. You want to join a company that is willing to talk to you and answer any questions you may have. If you have no way of contacting the people in charge, how else are you supposed to clarify anything that is confusing? No contact information equals no company you want to be affiliated with.
