When it comes to large corporate events, big weddings or any other larger celebration, hiring a marquee is often your best bet for providing a flexible, competitively priced venue for your guests. Often, the larger fixed venues such as stately homes, conference centres and municipal buildings can either be too high end and expensive, or too low brow and not suitable for your event. That's why hiring a marquee can make such good sense, not only from the persepctive of keeping your guests happy and having a great time - but also from the point of view of getting the best possible value for your money.

While there are several types of marquee available to hire, the best quality products are made with a solid aluminium structure. These marquees do not require ugly looking guy ropes or poles, placed inconveniently in the centre of the entertaining space. The highest quality marquees are built to withstand the most severe of weather conditions.

The majority of high quality marquees will be covered with a white PVC sheeting as standard. For additional charges, there are a number of optional add-ons including printed lettering, unique designs and the use of various materials. These services add a unique flavour to a party or event.

Prices will vary, depending on the size of marquee and particular requirements. Once a basic marquee has been decided on, there is usually the option to select a number of features including a dance floor, music equipment, lighting, furniture and heating. Reputable companies will visit the site and fully erect the structure.

A specialist will visit the client and discuss all the little details that are important in making the event perfect. Colour swatches and samples of equipment can be looked at and agreed on well in advance. Many companies will also provide staff to service the event and make sure someone is present if there are any technical problems.

These temporary structures are ideal for large family gatherings such as weddings, christenings and birthday parties. It is comforting for many to have these large events in familiar or local surroundings. They also allow the organiser to have an integral role in designing the surroundings. So if you want to enjoy the ultimate in flexibility and cost effectiveness when it comes to your big event, choose to hire a good quality marquee from a reputable company. You'll be glad you did and it could even save you some money - without having to save on the style.
