If you have been watching the national news lately, you will find a swath of stories that deal with home security. A recently widowed woman shoots a home invader while protecting herself and her newborn baby. Five people died in a horrific fire on Christmas morning. An arsonist is arrested after setting over 35 fires doing severe property damage. These stories are very sad, and sadder still, they are not uncommon.
Why is it that these stories become national news? It's because they can happen anywhere to anyone. If you talk to someone who was the victim of a crime or is left homeless by a fire, they will tell you similar tales. The most commonly used phrase after something like this happens is, "I never thought it could happen to me." But it does happen and continues to happen all over the country. This is why you need to be prepared to battle the unthinkable and the unexpected.
A home security system can save you the need to shoot any incoming home invaders by immediately sounding an alarm alerting those robbers that the police are on their way. Home security cameras can catch arsonists in the act and make sure they are caught before they can possibly set another fire (let alone 34 more.) A home security system can also alert you to a fire or dangerous gas in your own home.
With technology like this, you would think that news stories like the previously mentioned ones would occur less often. However, with the mentality of "it could never happen to me" it is unlikely that everyone in the nation will go out and purchase a home security system. This is a sad state of affairs.
The government, too busy protesting the other side's views, needs to take a stand. The stories coming from every corner, nook, and cranny are disturbing. Fires, burglaries, and other atrocities are committed in small towns and big cities alike with no regard for race, creed, or gender. Everyone is susceptible. Everyone is a possible target. You do not need to look rich to be mugged. Your house, unless made of flame proof materials, is just as likely to go up in flames as the family on television.
Yes, this does sound a little alarmist, but when something like this happens in your neighborhood, you are likely to go straight to a home security system retailer and protect your family. But why wait until it hits close to home? After all, close to home might be your home.
http://www.securassure.ca is dedicated to providing you with the best home security system, including burglar alarms, carbon monoxide detection, and glass break detectors. With SecurAssure, you and your family can always feel protected with home security.
