What Human Pheromones Have Done

For centuries the love potion was a concoction that bewildered the masses forever searching for a way to make the objects(people) of their desire fall in love with them. As time has marched on perfumes and colognes have tried to find the mystical element of attraction to varying degrees of success. The discovery of human pheromones however changed everything. This so called sixth sense is the underlying factor at the heart of attraction in a lot of cases. When scientists discovered it and how it is taken in by humans, through a small receptor in the nasal passages, it became the focus of all of that "love potion" science that had for so long seemed like a joke.

These days most anyone with half a brain at least knows the basics of human pheromones and their affect on the way people feel towards each other. In a way it is hard to not understand. Those of us who did not know about human pheromones for so long felt like an unexplainable phenomena of attraction suddenly made complete sense. All of those late night hook ups where we didn't know until we were right there. All of those times when a person we were not sure we were into became a person we could not stay away from. All of those times we did things, often very very stupid things, that we could not make sense of. That was pheromones.

Having a sudden excuse for all of those trysts was not the only great thing that came from the discovery of this sixth sense. Suddenly if we wanted to we could splash on some pheromone cologne or some perfume with pheromones to make ourselves all the more likely to make contact with an interested party. It was a way to, finally, have the upper hand in a situation where getting even a basic foothold can be rather trying. That is of course the world of trying to hook up in crowded clubs, bars, dog parks, the supermarket, basically anywhere two people might go.

So that leaves us where we are today. Now that we are all aware of the biological truth of our needs and desires is it not a little easier to just throw caution to the wind and make a move? I think it is. What's more, since incorporating pheromone cologne in their game plan I have seen friends becoming new men, more capable of hooking up and happier for it. Making contact with someone for affection just makes a guy feel good.
