If you would like to step back from the hustle and bustle of modern life and get closer to nature, then a peaceful boat ride on Florida's St. Johns River may be just what you need. Let's look at what you can experience on a cruise on the popular Rivership Romance.

The Rivership Romance carries hundreds of passengers daily on the historic St. Johns River and you can enjoy dining and dancing while getting a first hand look at the unspoiled nature of Central Florida's river system. The Rivership Romance offers cruises for individuals, couples and small groups as well providing a setting for specially arranged group meetings, parties or special events. The boat is equipped for small parties or charters of up to 250 passengers. The three deck boat has hosted corporate events, client appreciation nights, seminars, product introductions, holiday parties, weddings, receptions, renewals, family events: birthdays, bar/bat mitzvahs, anniversaries, reunions, church outings, educational events, senior groups, and organizational fund raisers. If you are going as an individual here are some of the possible cruises that you can take. For example, you can go on an hour luncheon cruise every Wednesday, Friday or Saturday from 11 AM - 2PM. These cruises allow you to view the St. Johns River while enjoying a lavish lunch (full course dinner) and listing to live entertainment.

A longer four hour cruise is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 AM to 3 PM. This is in effect a day long outing and you are first treated to a light brunch of fruits, cheeses, warm sticky buns and other items. A full lunch is served later in the cruise. Once again you can enjoy live entertainment and also view 25 miles of the river.

On Sundays there is a special Sunday Brunch Cruise which takes place between 11 AM and 2 PM. Live entertainment is again featured and the sights along the river also add to the charm. On select Sundays the boat is home to special event shows between 4 PM- 6:30 PM The ship also holds themed special event cruises such the comedy wedding show cruise, a haunted holiday tour and others. These take place on Friday nights.

For the true romantics there is a moonlight cruise on Saturdays from 7:30 PM to 11 PM complete with a buffet of hors d'oeuvres to begin the evening, cocktails and a full course dinner, live entertainment, dancing and as always, the beautiful backdrop of the St. Johns River. If you are seriously thinking of booking a group event on this vessel then you will be glad to know that group outings are easy to set up on the Rivership Romance. One call is enough. Your appetizers, meals, beverages and entertainment can be coordinated with that one call.

The Rivership Romance is based in Sanford, Florida and the contact information is as follows: Telephone 1-800-423-7401 , Address: 433 North Palmetto Ave. | Sanford, FL 32771 So, if you want to combine dining, with nature watching, and live entertainment as well, a ride on the Rivership Romance can accomplish all of this in one enjoyable ride.
