Information products are ideal for selling on eBay because they are cheap and easy to reproduce and send but can sell for high profit margins. And you don't have to create your information product yourself. You can have one created for you cheaply and easily or use an existing product.

1. Have Your Information Product Created For You

You can use a "ghost writer" to write your information product for you. They will compile your ebook but it will belong to you and have your name on it as the author.

That's exactly what Frank Kern did. Frank hired a ghost writer to produce an ebook titled "How to Teach Your Parrot to Talk in 30 Days or Less". He then offered the book for sale at $37. He quietly pulled in several thousand dollars a month - month after month - for years until he sold the rights for a tidy profit. The important thing to know is Frank himself did not know how to teach a parrot to talk - he had never even owned a parrot! But what Frank did know is that parrot owners were willing to pay for such information.

All you have to do is go to www.elance.com and post a description of what you want written. Writers will then compete with each other to get your business. You'll be surprised how cheaply you can get work done for you! You can look at the portfolios of anyone who wants to do your job for you before you decide who to use.

2. Use An Existing Information Product

You can use someone else's EXISTING product so you DON'T have to create one yourself! There are tens of thousands of ready made information products with Private Label Rights or Resell Rights available and they often come with ready-made sales copy. If you obtain the rights, you have an instant, ready-made product!

Private Label Rights mean you can re-brand the product as your own whereas Resell Rights might not allow you to alter the product in any way.

While this avoids the need for you to create your own product, the downside is that lots of other people may also have the rights and be selling exactly the same product. So, if the licence allows you to, you should alter the product to make it your own. Change the title and graphics and re-write the sales copy.

Ready-made Private Label Rights and Resell Rights often cost very little. In fact many Resell Rights are free, but that's because the product, usually an ebook, cannot be altered in any way and is basically an advert for the author's other products.

Use online search engines such as eBay and Google to perform searches using an appropriate combination of the following words: "(name of your niche) + Private Label/resell/resale/reprint + rights/licence". There are also many Private Label Rights (PLR) websites providing information products that you can buy and re-use.

In fact there are so many information products available that you can sell on eBay that you never need to worry about what to sell on eBay ever again!
