Many men are unsure what they should talk about on their first date. Sometimes it can be difficult to determine what topics are appropriate to discuss and what topics are inappropriate. It's best to keep things casual on a first date, if you are nervous try to relax and just let the conversation flow.

It's very important to speak about yourself in a positive manner, however, you should try to avoid boasting and bragging. It's also important to listen when she is speaking. Ask some questions when the opportunity presents itself, this will show her that you are interested in whatever she's talking about.

Here are some common mistakes you should try to avoid.

Do not ask personal questions such as how much money do you make a year, or what's your favorite sexual position. Most people are not comfortable discussing these types of things on a first date, so it's best to avoid talking about these things until later on. However, if she starts asking you about money tell her you are a billionaire a you have money to burn. If she ask you what's your favorite sexual position tell her there are plenty of positions available if she want's to apply. She will know you are joking and she will probably change the subject.

Asking personal questions too soon is bad because your date may feel like she is being interrogated.

Try to avoid getting too serious about anything whether you are talking about your life or past experiences. We have all had our share of ups and downs, but it's best to focus on positive things.

Avoid speaking about your previous relationships, if you tell her you have only had a few short term relationships she may think you are inexperienced. If you tell her that you've been in many relationships she may think you are a player. It's best to avoid this because regardless of what you say it may have a negative effect on you.

For the same reason you should not ask her about any of her previous relationships as well. If she starts questioning you about your previous relationships tell her you would like to forget about the past and focus on the present and the future. You should never say negative things about any of your ex-girlfriends. If you do, your date might wonder what types of negative things you will say about her in the future.

You should never attempt to plan future dates while you are still on your first date, doing this may lead her to think that you are desperate.

At the end of the date be sure to thank her for taking the time to go out with you. If you think there is great chemistry between the two of you and you would like to go out with her again. Tell her you had a great time and you will give her a call.

On a first date you should relax, have fun, be yourself, and keep the conversation casual. If everything goes well hopefully you will go out on another date.
