It is a well known fact that a very high percentage of people who enter the online arena fail due to many misconceptions. The main misconception has to do with the ease of earning top dollar online. The people who expect to be able to just start up a website and make a decent pay are usually the first to quit and fail before they even give it a chance.

Making money online requires plenty of patience and persistence to really get it going. It has not always been like that but Google and the other search engines have grown wise to the short cutters.

Here are a few tips to show you just what it takes to earn some good money online. These tips are assuming you have a website with products you are trying to promote and you just can't get enough people to your website to make any money.

There are plenty of different ways to get people to visit your website. The best way to do so is by getting organic traffic via the search engines. Learning how to do this will guarantee you long term success for your online business.

You can pay for your traffic via pay-per-click or some guaranteed visitor program but the results will vary and will expire as soon as you are done sending them money. The free ways are the best because 1) they are free, and 2) because if you do it right you will have free traffic forever.

Free search engine traffic is the way you will succeed online. This is a very powerful concept to remember because of how laser targeted those visitors are. The people finding your site from the search engines are looking for exactly what you are offering.

For example, a dog training website will have plenty of information and products regarding dog training. So when someone types in the words 'dog training' in one of the search engines you want them to be able to find your website. To do this you will need to know a little about search engine optimization.

Search engine optimization or SEO works on two fronts, on page and off page.

On page SEO will require you to use those key words (dog training in this example) throughout the body of the text. Using H1 and H3 header tags with your keywords will also help the search engines realize what type of information your website is on.

Once you have your keywords in your text on your website, it's all about picking up back links to move your website up the search engine rankings. You can do this via article marketing, blog commenting, forums, directories, and link exchanges just to name a few. Using an anchor text, a hyper linked text with your keywords will also help vault your site to the top as well.

Just remember that as you begin to apply SEO tactics to your website, it will take plenty of time for those keywords to move up and for you to begin seeing traffic. The more popular the keywords are, the longer it will take to move up. Try finding some keywords with less competition so you can begin to see some traffic right away. Once you rank on page one for your keywords, implement some more and rinse and repeat.

You don't need to have a product in order to make money. Heck, you don't even need to leave the house anymore. Come see how I make money from home working no more than only a few hours a day! You can do the same... Make Money From Home
