In modern era, one can hardly find a person who has not watched cartoons in his or her childhood. Have you ever heard of a Disney princess who is obese, rude and ill-mannered? All of you would say 'no'. Similarly, if is asked to state in few lines about the image childhood cartoons have left on your mind, one would probably point out its imaginary character. Imagination is always far away from the reality. Realism and idealism have been at right angle to each other.

Realism in philosophy is what actually is present in the world. It is something that can be explained through the use of logical arguments and is based on rationality principle. On the other hand idealism is what beyond reality, which does not exist anywhere but is based on the imaginary processes of mind.

Utopia and idealism are interrelated with slight difference. It is not necessary that idealism is always and only based on the desires and hopes for good. Rather, it can entail good and bad ideals as mind has the aptitude of perceiving the both.

The socialization of modern children comes from media along with family and education institutions. Initial socialization is the most important for the remaining life of every individual as it leaves permanent impressions on ones mind. The most attractive part of childhood is watching cartoons. Hence the socialization of children takes place while they watch cartoons. It is human psyche that he takes impression of the thing which appeals to his mind. When the most favorite cartoons like Disney portrays the kings and queens, prince and princess, do they portray what is reality. These fictional characters leave permanent impressions on our lives without letting us know most of the times.

Our perception of princess that is developed by Disney fairy tales, would probably link all the aspects of beauty with the personality of a princess. It is believed that a princess is always going to be a gender female, not a tom boyish lady, who has the traits like: pretty face, delicate and thin beautiful figure, attractive face features, long thick hair and glowing complexion. No one would have seen a Disney princess who wears thick glasses on her eyes! So, in these ideals are created before children who in return accept them as what is reality and start expecting such an ideal life.

The heroism is attached to a prince as he is brave, strong and sensible. It is believed by the children that nothing can ever go wrong in the lives of such characters of prince and princesses. In the end of the tales of Disney princess, everything gets fixed due to the heroic handling of the prince and after that they lived a happy life.

At the end of story it is always shown that 'they lived happily ever after". The concept of happy life is constructed in our minds that make us expecting and waiting for the life which is fairy like. But this search ends with disappointment and hopelessness. In real lives, boys start searching such a princes just because of ideals and perceptions formed earlier on their minds by fairy tales based on utopia. No one ever realize that life is not a bed of roses due to Disney princess!
