Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 was one of the most hotly anticipated games of 2011 - and it did not disappoint. The game features an excellent storyline picking up from where Modern Warfare 2 left off.

Betrayed by your commanding officer, Soap is badly injured and Price manages to help his friend and get him to safety where they can provide him medical assistance. Picking up from MW2, you do not reprise the role of Soap anymore, however take on the role of some new personnel, namely a Delta Force solder called Frost, and a Russian named Yuri. However, some stages of the game, you will also become a member of the SAS and a bodyguard for the Russian president.

The game itself continues the story of Makarov causing global events which lead to an all out war between many countries, with Russian war ships attacking the coast of the USA, and planned terrorist attacks in major cities such as London and Paris. The story itself is compelling, and grips you through every mission.

The gameplay is smooth as you would come to expect from MW3, and no doubt leaves the player very satisfied for every mission they complete, having made a step closer to stopping the global terrorist threat.

However, most gamers won't purchase MW3 for it's single player story or game mode. The multiplayer is what makes the Modern Warfare franchise a best seller on all gaming platforms. Complete with new maps, new skills, kill streaks and weapons, the online experience of MW3 is fantastic.

However, should you not be accustomed to online play, there will be some MW3 strategy which will be very useful to improve your kill streaks and leveling of your character.

For example, a lot of new players will always want to run to the action, but MW3 has some fantastic and very skilled players who will take you out when you can't even see them. Make sure you not always be running about in the open, but try to stay covered, and walk as opposed to run in areas of the map you believe there may be enemy players.

Secondly, it is always a good idea to stay in a group with your teammates. Should you come under fire from an enemy, you and your team mate have a better chance of survival compared to you fighting on your own. Also, should your team mate comes under fire themselves, you will be able to pin point the enemies location and take them out, earning yourself the kill point.

Thirdly, use the right weapon. It's no good equipping a shotgun for open area maps where close range combat is rarely seen. For larger maps, assault rifles and sniper weapons are best to be used, with sub machine guns and shotguns more suited to smaller maps.

With this MW3 guide, you should be able to learn how to play MW3, and quickly rise up the levels to earn new rewards, kill streaks and skills. Don't forget, make use of the defensive kill streak capabilities in MW3 - they are sometimes just as good as the offensive ones!

If you are looking to improve your MW3 experience, then be sure to look out for MW3, where you can find all you need to know about MW3 strategy and information.
