When decorating your home, many people will start with their furniture first then work colours around them in regards to painting, the wallpaper and accessories. Of course, pictures around any room, can bring in colours, or provide a very homely feel with family photos.

It has become more popular though for people to put up canvas art as they can be cheaper to buy and also provide more variety in colours and images. The most popular types are those with still images upon them such as;

• Sea shores
• Cities during the day or night
• Floral
• Abstract
• Sunsets

They can also come in a variety of shapes too, from standard rectangles and squares to those that are over 3, 5 or even 7 individual frames. They can definitely make a statement. For those that have bold colours and being larger you can actually use this as your inspiration for your own room and decor. With some slight changes and for a small cost you can create a stunning room. For example, choosing a canvas that has a bold colour, you can simply change a few cushions that incorporate the same colour, changing lampshades and accessories to also include that colour.

Another unique idea for canvas pictures is to use your own photos and have them imprinted upon a canvas. You can create your very own masterpiece too by buying plain canvases and paints and you're on your way.

Some people have also introduced canvas art to their gardens to create a beautiful outside space that links from the inside. They can create a stunning effect to any outdoor space, adding colour and interesting pictures. This is great for any sized garden, but can be particularly great for smaller areas to add another dimension to it, or for around a pool area. All outdoor canvas art's are designed to withstand all weather elements so they can be placed anywhere in the garden.

Another element you can add to your garden for a touch of elegance, is to have a garden fountains installed.

Depending on the size and style of your garden will obviously ascertain the type of fountain you get. For a smaller garden you could think about getting a contemporary fountain that is in the form of coloured vases, or even a small waterfall. For larger gardens then you could go all out with an extravagant fountain.

It is best to take into account the space you have when choosing your fountain, not forgetting your spending budget. There are many garden centres that can offer help and advice, they may even be able to send a representative round to measure up and offer suggestions. They will also give you advice about how to look after the fountain with regards to keeping the water clean, the filtration system and pump. You might want to use a landscape designer, or you can take the plunge and do it yourself. You will also need to think about the ages of your children and also any pets you have when choosing a fountain. You need to make sure that they are going to be safe if you have small children and also so that your pets do not drink the water.

Using canvas art in the home or out of it can add another dimension to the space, and when you are wanting to create a great outdoor space think about getting a garden fountains
