Well dressed gentleman try to keep current on the latest in mens fashion and style trends. They regularly read industry magazines and online blogs written by authorities on the subject. The world's top designers help to dictate what will be shown on the catwalks, and they also have a lot of influence on what will be seen on men on the streets of the average city.

There are a lot of style options for guys including many variable in mens shirts such as casual button-ups and stylish and formal french cuff dress models. Some seasons show the well dressed man wearing sporty casual styles in pastel colors and prints. Other seasons show a more formal style, with darker colors and the presence of neck ties and other formal accessories.

Mens shoes are another way for the gentleman to make a style statement. A well-dressed guy should always wear a clean and polished pair whether he is dressing casually or formally, even with mens jeans. The type of shoe that he chooses to wear is dictated as much by the event as it is by the season and personal preference.

Just because a particular color or style is currently popular doesn't mean that it is right for every man to wear. Every man should decide for himself if a particular trend is right for him. His age, body shape, his lifestyle and taste should dictate whether or not he participates in specific trends.

Some classic styles and looks never go out of style. These "go-to" looks are always in fashion and can be used at any time to help the man look well-dressed and attractive. For example, a pair of black slacks and a crisp white dress shirt are two examples of wardrobe pieces that withstand the test of time and have a classic look that can be worn by just about every man.

A man should consult with a fashion expert to find out exactly what types of clothing compliment him the best. His natural coloring will dictate what color clothing he should wear, as well as those that he should avoid. His body shape will direct what type of silhouettes he should try to buy. On some body styles, a double breasted suit jacket will look flattering, but on other body types, it might make the wearer look heavier than he actually is.

Men can find discount clothing at discount stores such as those found in outlet malls. They can also find good deals by shopping on the Internet and buying directly from the manufacturer. They might also be able to score some good deals by buying good quality and classic items at consignment stores or by using coupons at major retailers.

Mens fashion trends and styles change with every season. The well-dressed man can stay up-to-date on the latest industry news by following top designers through their online blogs and magazines. Not every man can pull-off every new trend, but he should dress appropriate to his age, his body shape and his coloring.
