When I started building my business online, I was a newbie and the only differentiating factor that I had was good web copy and freebies. I focused on connecting with my target audience and always gave away free ebooks to lure them of the added value.

However, with time, I realize the credibility of your website is extremely important, more important than any freebies that you can give them.

Here are some fast techniques for immediately positioning yourself as the expert:

1) Good Web Copy

Content is king on the internet as people are searching for more information to solve their challenges. Give them useful information and connect with them. And they will start to trust you a little.

Start putting yourself in the shoes of your target audience and try to anticipate what they want and are looking for. With this, improve the website content on your website and observe the conversion rates.

2) Good Website Visuals

In the world wide web, impressions count. If your website is aesthetically appealing, people are likely to stay on and read more. If the visuals are ugly or uncomfortable on the eyes, people move away quickly.

Remove white words on black background, de-clutter website visuals and keep it clean and easy to navigate.

3) Happy Customer Testimonials

People are less likely to trust you blowing your own horn. When it is a third party, it is more reliable and trustworthy. The more testimonials you have, the higher the credibility. Also, if the testimonials are results-oriented, the credibility factor increases.

Adding these pictures provides insights to your company and the activities that you are organizing. It becomes real, instead of simply a company. People like to learn more about the company and pictures are a great visual asset.

6) Information about your talks or seminars

If you are presenting in any events, include a speaker rooster in your website. Speaking naturally positions you as an expert in your field. And if you are speaking, please include it in your website.
