Read this article to know the guidelines on the way to solve a crossword puzzle.

Positive answers

One of the simplest means to solve a crossword puzzle is to start with the ones you're certain of the answers. These clues require answers that need no further discussion and that you're less likely to ask the assistance of Words With Friends Cheat. For example, "Leaning Tower of _ _ _ _" or "_ _ _ _ F. Kennedy". You will find that every one of the blanks provided is asking for an answer that has no other probable answer, and all you have to do is to fill out those blank spots. Thus, if you know the leaning structure of Pisa or John F. Kennedy, then you can instantly offer the correct words to those hints. When you are completed answering the simplest hints, you'll then get more clues to the rest of the puzzle, which will also aid you solve the rest of the clues.

Multiple possible answers

Right after answering the simple hints, you may now proceed to the challenging ones. These are the ones that have greater than one possible answer. To fix a hint such as this, you've no option but to provide a provisional answer and figure out if that answer will fit well with the other nearby answers. In case your answer fits in with the other nearby answers, then that's the correct one. Nevertheless, if some of its letters are not correct, then it isn't the correct answer to the hint, and you must look for another answer to that particular clue. It is advisable that you utilize a pencil when answering hints which you're not yet sure of.

Abbreviated clues

Abbreviated hints or hints which have the term "briefly" in them would commonly suggest that the answers are in abbreviated forms. For instance, the right answer to the hint "commencement in someone's life, briefly" will be "Ret.", or "Abe" would be the answer for the clue "Pres. Lincoln".

Question mark at the end

If a hint has a question mark at the end, it is most likely that the answer will be a straightforward meaning of the word or phrase, or it could also be an insidious one. For instance, "Someone who has no to-do plan?" could perfectly imply "unrest".

Plural answers

Hints written in plural forms are usually requesting answers that are also in plural kinds. While most plural kinds of words end in the letter "s", there are also others which do not. Thus, do not immediately complete the last box with the letter "s", if you aren't certain that the answer ends in that letter.

International language

Each time a foreign language is used in the clue, your probable answer would also be of that similar language.

If you solve crossword puzzles on a standard or everyday, you will see that some of the clues are repeated again and again. You may not be able to answer all the clues yet, but you will surely get better in time if you play this game regularly.
