There are many brands of the Steinway pianos and they can be found in specialized piano stores. The grand Steinway piano comes in three variations. There is the concert grand piano, which is the biggest of the grand pianos. Then there is the parlor grand piano, next in size after the concert piano. Smallest of them all is the baby grand piano. Since they are long, the grand pianos have lengthy strings that produce a rich voluminous sound. Since they are constructed to allow a lot of pressure to be exerted on them, they make all the strings move appropriately and remove the desired sound. When scouting piano stores to buy a Steinway piano, one should consider several things. The first thing is the musical need of the piano. Different pianos produce different musical timbres and that will consider the type of piano to be bought. Grand pianos for example are huge and lack of ample space to room the piano will limit its purchase.

Steinway pianos have to be properly maintained if they are to operate well and maintain its luster: in order to address the later, when cleaning the surface of the piano it has to be polished and not scrubbed because that will spoil its coating. In addition, harsh detergent or solutions should not even be used on the pianos. Pianos should be regulated and tuned in order for them not to produce high-pitched sounds when they are being played. If the piano appears to be faulty, it should be taken to a technician at all costs and not fixed by amateurs who will end up ruining the pianos.
