Florida Reports Truck Drivers Have Deadliest Jobs in State

Recently, a Florida Trend news article reported that although the unemployment rate dropped from 2006 to 2007, there were the same number of on-the-job fatalities as the previous year. Additionally, according to the article, truck drivers, who earn a mean wage of $29,266 are reportedly working in the most deadly job in the state of Florida.

The article also reported that "transportation incidents killed 136 Florida workers in 2007" and this figure does not include the number of fatalities that may have occurred as a result of these employment fatalities, which may include the fatalities of others involved in a truck accident.
