You might be wondering what is chlorella, and why should you include it in your diet. Well, chlorella, also known as chlorella pyrenoidosa, is a form of green algae that is highly nutritious. It has numerous health benefits.

It is single celled, and very small so that you would need a microscope to see it. However, it multiplies quickly, splitting into 4 cells every 24 hours or so. It is very easy to grow in controlled conditions for use in supplements. Many people use this chlorella superfood in order to combat various health problems or better yet, prevent health problems.

Just why is chlorella so good for you? Well, chlorella ingredients include all sorts of vitamins and minerals, including beta carotene, riboflavin, thiamin, iron, niacin, vitamin C, vitamin B6, calcium, zinc, copper, iodine, magnesium, vitamin K, and vitamin E. This algae also contains a lot of amino acids and protein, RNA/DNA as well as very high amounts of chlorophyll (which is what makes it look so green).

There is also an extract from the nucleus called CGF, or chlorella growth factor. It is thought to be the reason for some of the health benefits that some people have noticed after they've begun using chlorella supplements. Basically, it is a very nutritious food that contains ingredients that are thought to be able to help with the treatment and prevention of various health problems.

If you spend any time reading about chlorella, you will probably find information on all of the health conditions it is thought to be helpful for. It is thought to make our immune systems stronger, and to stimulate the growth of new tissue, which means it is helpful for healing wounds. It is also supposed to improve digestion, help to protect people from toxic contaminants and radiation, and even slow down aging.

People have tried using supplements containing this algae in order to help treat eczema, arthritis, diabetes, infections, and cirrhosis. People have used this supplement for children whose growth has been stunted, as well as those who are suffering from Alzheimer's, multiple sclerosis, sciatica, viruses, diabetes, manic depression, and immune deficiency disorders.

Preliminary studies show definite benefits for ulcerative colitis, hypertension, and fibromyalgia.

One of the easiest ways to add chlorella to your diet is to purchase one of the supplements that are available in various health food stores and other locations. Just look to make sure that the algae was grown in controlled conditions so that it is not likely to be contaminated with anything else.

There are a number of companies that make these supplements, so they shouldn't be too hard to find. Most people report no side effects from taking the supplements, though some people have had gastrointestinal side effects after taking certain brands. This appears to be from contaminants rather than the product itself.

If this should be the case with you, it might be a good idea to look into reviews of the different brands and find one that is less likely to cause this type of problem.
