The second herb in the typical herbal stress remedy is the one called the Passion Flower and this is the nearest we can get to the most natural nerve tonic inexistence in nature. This was brought out in a study in France carried out by the Pharmacological Unit at the Medical Faculty at the University of Nantes. Its soothing and calming qualities were well noted.
In one study carried out on some 60 patients who were about to undergo surgery, researchers found that those who had been given doses of the Passion Flower were much calmer and altogether less anxious about the forthcoming event than those who were on the placebo.
