All Natural ADHD Medications - A Much Safer Option For Your Child

Before we look at all natural ADHD medications, let us have a quick look at what is going on with the conventional medications on campuses around the USA. There are now quite a few students who are faking ADHD symptoms in order to get a prescription for Adderall. This is one of the most popular meds on campus and there is only one reason for that. It helps the students to study all night and helps them focus and concentrate for very long periods.

If they cannot get a prescription, then they can buy it illegally on campus where it sells at $20 a tablet. The US Drug Enforcement Administration classifies both Ritalin and Adderall as controlled substances as they are amphetamines, in the same class as cocaine. They say that there is a high potential for abuse.

This is just one of the many reasons why parents now want all natural ADHD medications. There are too many unanswered questions about the stimulant drugs. There are doubts about side effects, health risks, dangers of abuse, effects on a child's developing brain and so on. It is just too risky for them.

But what about teaching the child some skills to help him cope with impulsive behavior, inattention and restlessness? It is fascinating to record the work at the Center For Children and Families at the University of Buffalo. These experiments were monitored by the NIMH (National Institute of Mental Health). Basically they have found that after two years on behavior therapy, the children no longer needed the psychostimulants. This program has been running successfully for over eight years and was led by Dr. William Pelham who is considered to be a world authority on ADHD.

But of course, no matter how we train our children with great parenting skills or behavior therapy, we may still some all natural ADHD medications which will keep them calmer and more focused. My favourite one is the ADHD homeopathic remedy because there are no side effects at all, unlike the herbal remedies.

Homeopathy treats the whole child rather than just masking symptoms which could be a time bomb in the long run. In addition, there are no dire warnings about health risks with black box notices to scare us. Then there are no health risks either in the short term or in the long term.
