Wind turbines for homes can be great projects, but you have to be careful to keep them from being an expensive time waster. Even though you say this is on my private property and what business do they have tell me what I can do or cannot do, the fact is that you live in a community and other people have a right to not be visually bombarded by something that offends them. Therefore, it is smart to dig in and learn about your local community and their feelings or lack thereof regarding the home wind turbine. With this wind device will I be purchasing something that will be reliable and last for years into the future? This is of course part of any analysis - that is, the longevity of the device you are buying. If you are careful and answer these questions before you begin your wind turbines for homes project, you will stand a great chance of optimizing things and making the most power you can from your efforts.
