The truth is manufacturers of today have got to do all that they can to keep costs under control, and one of the ways that many are doing this is by reducing packaging costs by using the services of the most up to date shrink wrap machine and the various PVC film and other wrapping films that are currently available. The present day wrapping machines, also referred to as portable supersealers, I-bar sealers, bar sealers, shrink sealers, centerfolded shrink wrap sealers and portable shrink packaging, are generally very easy to use. In fact, organizations with packaging needs may even call on the services of manual sealers and hotshot heat guns.

The shrink wrap machine of the present day are engineered and built to serve for many, many years. They are light and ultra-portable and are ready to start packaging your products as soon as you have unpacked it and plugged it in. Furthermore, their temperatures are adjustable to meet the activation temperatures of all sorts of wrapping film. Finally, a great thing about these new film wrapping devices is that they come in sizes from as small as 13 inches to 40 inches. Some packaging machine suppliers even have larger wrapping machines in stock.

As touched upon above, packagers are able to use all sorts of wrapping film from the traditional rigidly formulated film that suppliers of CD's, DVD's, food items, candles and art supplies have generally used, to the more flexible PVC films that are needed by those who need to create strong seals with their packaging. In most cases, the same shrink wrap machine can handle both types of wrapping film.

A shrink wrapping machine works very simply consisting of little more than a working surface, a rod to hold the roll of wrapping film, the wand sealing arm and heat gun, which the user heats the wrap with once it has been wrapped around the product to make it shrink and seal. This is called activating the film wrap and the films of today do not require high temperatures to be activating.

Regardless of what type and size of machine a manufacturer may need, the important thing is that one gets the machine that best suits their needs. They can ensure that they select the proper shrink wrap machine and equipment by consulting with subject matter experts who understand their particular industry and how their products best need to be packaged.
