OK, you bought your nifty, new LG Decoy phone and have it out of the box. But do you know everything that it can do? Making phone calls is hopefully a given, but did you get to one of the nicest features of this phone? Flip the phone over and find the compartment that houses the phone's own Bluetooth earpiece. Essentially for the price of the phone, you received two pieces of electronic equipment. There is also a cable included so that you can charge your earpiece as well.

The LG Decoy is the world's first handset with an integrated Bluetooth headset. The great thing is, the bluetooth headset recharges on the go when inserted back into its compartment, so you will never be stuck with a wireless earpiece flat on battery. The address book can store a whopping 1000 contacts to help you stay connected with all friends and business associates. Unfortunately, the LG Decoy does not come with any other preloaded applications or games, however, with the inclusion of the web browser and EV-DO technology, you can not only download games but stream video from Verizon video streaming on the 2.2 inch display. The LG Decoy has a digital music player so that you can listen to streaming music. The sound can be a little tinny and is not the best out there for personal smart phones.

LG Decoy comes with 50MB internal memory and supports expansion via its microSD memory port, up to a maximum storage capacity of 8GB. The Decoy is also capable of voice commands, instant messaging (Windows Live Messenger, AIM, and Yahoo Messenger are supported), and e-mail.

The LG Decoy has a 2 megapixel camera like many standard phones. Not too impressive, but it still manages well in taking photos. However, this little pocket device also has a handy camcorder feature to capture those magical moments and those all important must remember moments. The battery life to run all these neat features is an average 230 minutes for talk time and 330 hours on stand-by. This phone will always look pretty while it is waiting to be employed or while being kept on a shelf. However; with the high glossy finish, the surface will be consistently smudged with fingerprints.

Overall, for a midrange personal communication device, the LG Decoy has plenty of features to keep you connected without the expense of additional bells and whistles that you might not need. For keeping connected without the distraction of games, special memory eating gizmos, and unnecessary features, the LG Decoy is not a bad pick for daily communication use.
