The New Year is upon us, and many have once again vowed to lose unwanted pounds. Some will drastically reduce caloric intake; some will employ a manic-paced exercise regimen, and even more will discover the benefits of hcg drops. While many of these methods deliver timely results, hcg drops together with a sensible eating and exercise plan will deliver sustainable results. For some, however, it's not about will power or taking hcg drops as recommended -- it's all about breaking a long-lasting sugar or starch addiction.

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that you consume added sugars at a rate of 10 percent or less of your total, daily caloric intake. For example, if you were to consume 2,000 calories in a single day, your added sugar intake should be less than 12 teaspoons. This may seem like a lot; however, to put this into perspective, a single, 12-ounce serving of soda contains 10 teaspoons of sugar. When you drink two 12-ounce sodas in one day, you've far exceeded the WHO recommendation.
So what can you do to get a handle on your sugar intake? Before you begin a weight loss regimen, start by gradually weaning yourself from these foods over time. Replace that afternoon soda with a bottle of water, or pass on that heaping helping of mashed potatoes and gravy during Sunday dinner. This will position you for success while taking hcg as well as with any long-term nutrition goals you may have. The important thing to remember is to start slowly and take your time.
Once you have your sugar and starch addiction in check, you can buy hcg drops without worrying about craving many of your beloved foods. But if you're still struggling with the bigger picture, simply think of it like this: A new year is a time to bid farewell to many things. Some will bid farewell to habits such as smoking; some will bid farewell to friends... but you? You will bid farewell to an unhealthy lifestyle and poor eating habits. And if there was ever any confusion about what to leave behind in 2011, a sugar or starch addiction seems to be the worthiest of candidates.
