Would you like to implement a SEO article writing strategy that effectively uses keywords to get more attention from search engines? If so, you must be careful:

Using keywords in your articles is not as easy as you may think--if you use them incorrectly, keyword use can quickly result in keyword abuse, which is not helpful to your website at all!

This article teaches you step-by-step how to use keywords correctly in your article submissions:

1 - Research a list of keywords for your website.

Make some your main keyword phrases (2 words long) and some long tail keywords (3-5 words long). For example:

Main keyword: "healthy eating"

Long tail key phrase: "10 tips for healthy eating" or "healthy eating for teens"

You would have several phrases for each, and your list may reach 20-30 phrases total.

2 - Organize your list.

In a spreadsheet or notebook, list all of your keywords in one column. Then the next column would be for possible article titles using each of the long tail keywords. We will be using the long tail keywords in the article titles and the shorter main keywords in the resource boxes.

3 - Create a keyword-rich title.

Use the long tail keyword phrases (3-5 words) when writing the titles. Using the “healthy eating” research above, the titles may be:

"10 Tips for Healthy Eating"

"How to Start eating Healthy for Teens"

"What are the Benefits of Eating Healthy?"

As you can see, the long tail key phrases sort of write their own titles. Remember, your title should make sense to a human, be grammatically accurate and have proper spelling. If you happen to have any phrases that don’t make sense in your title or contain spelling or grammar errors, then don’t use them.

4 - Using keywords in your article.

Look at your spreadsheet and select one of your pre-created titles. This is the subject of your article. Use the keyword you’re targeting in the first paragraph of your article, if possible.

The key is not to go over the density level, and it depends on both how long your article is and how many words are in the phrase as to how many repetitions you can get away with.

Your keywords will be more significant the higher up the page they are, hence a good idea to include your phrase in the title and then the first paragraph, and then say in the final paragraph, and possibly somewhere in the middle.

But it’s really just doing it naturally and almost not trying too hard by trying to follow a specific formula. First and foremost, your article and title must read naturally and not sound contrived.

5 - Using keywords in your resource box.

Pick one of the main keyword phrases (2 words long) to use in your resource box. With each article, you will alternate the keyword term you target in the resource box.

Special Tips:

*Don’t try too hard to stick to a specific formula for using your keywords--the most important thing is that your article make sense to a human reader. If your keyword phrase doesn’t sound right in your article or title, then don’t use it.

*Your resource box should include more than just your key phrase--it should include your name, a little bio info, a reason to click through to your website, and of course your website link.

*In your resource boxes, alternate the key phrases you use as anchor text.

Using keywords in your article title, article body and resource is a great SEO article writing strategy that can make your articles more effective in attracting attention from search engines. If you want to use keywords in your article, follow the tips in this article, but remember that the main goal is to use them naturally and keep the needs of your human readers as your primary focus.
