Would you like to have your wedding in the summer or winter? What about the flowers? Do you want carnations, roses or something else? Planning the perfect wedding involves a multitude of decisions. Whether you are the one getting married, or simply helping with the planning, the advice contained here can help you create a wedding to remember.

Make your wedding personal by including elements that embody you, your soon-to-be spouse, and your relationship. Select a theme that represents the time that you have spent with each other.

Individual centerpieces at each table can quickly add up to a big expense, unless you keep them simple. Instead of buying a centerpiece that is so big it covers the whole table, use something simple. It won't block the conversation of your guests, will save you some money and yet will still look amazing in your photographs.

Planning a wedding can be very stressful, so in order to give yourself enough time to prepare, set a date where you can get everything done. Set aside time to complete all the necessary tasks without looking exhausted at the event. To ensure that you look your best for your special day, rest as much as possible.

If you are the bride, your mother and your bridesmaids who plan on helping you get your gown on should be ready themselves well in advance, so they have time to assist you. In the minutes leading up to your wedding march, all attention should be dedicated to getting you ready. If they're concerned about getting ready, they're not focused on assisting you.

To help you prepare dancing for your first dance, you should practice dancing in a long skirt a few days before your wedding. Your skirt might be something you are used to walking or dancing in, but your soon-to-be husband might not. This will help him adjust to dancing with you in your dress and prevent any awkwardness, especially if your gown is particularly full at the bottom.

Your plans for a wedding outside should always include a solid backup plan, in case it rains, or other unforeseen problems occur. Rent some tents, or choose a venue with indoor shelter in addition to its outdoor setting. One helpful trick if it's wet, but you can still stay outdoors, is to use boards as walkways through wet or muddy areas.

For example, consider a contemporary fusion menu filled with popular dishes. Make the menu unique by adding ethnic desserts, beverages and wedding favors that are edible.

As you seek out a dress, don't just think about the kind of dress you'd like to wear, also consider what sorts of dresses will flatter your body. Choose something from the petite section, rather than getting normal length dresses altered if you are vertically challenged. This will be a wise choice for you.

After reading these tips, it's safe to say that you probably weren't aware of even half of these ideas. And that's because no one ever realizes just how much goes into planning a wedding until they're actually staring at it in the face. A wedding is perhaps the most detail-oriented celebration out there, so be sure that you're using these tips to help you out.
