If you think installing fitting laminate flooring is difficult, well, think again. You could actually do it yourself with just by following simple instructions. Fitting laminate flooring means using a synthetic material which would resemble wood and this will be laminated. Laminate flooring is becoming more popular and popular these days since aside from its durability and inexpensive price, it is highly-resistant to a lot of things such as major stains and dirt. To install laminate flooring in your home, there are several simple steps that need to be followed. You must have these materials first: fitting laminate flooring, foam underlayment, shoe molding, tape measure, right angle square, a miter saw with laminate blade, hammer and brad nails, hammer, compressor, chalk line, rubber mallet and pencil and jigsaw utility knife.

So, we can now proceed with how it should be installed: Before we do anything, we must make sure to remove all nails and shoe moldings using the tools at hand. Fitting laminate flooring is very easy since we can just directly place it over the flooring. For a more spacious look, we can go for lighter colors. We must also make sure to have some extra flooring since we will never know we might be short of laminate flooring because of bad cuts.

After clearing the floor, we can then start on laying the padding which is also called as underlayment. It is usually done by laying stip bys trip to ensure that all areas are covered properly especially the edges. Do not forget to vacuum the floors so that no unnecessary dirt are trapped inside the underlayment pads.

Now that the musts were already mentioned above, let's start talking about the don'ts: Use a transition molding if you have to install laminate flooring that is withing 48 inches in width close to the doorway. It is important that the surface is even so make sure to remove all devices underneath the flooring and refrain from hammering the end part of the board.
