South beach diet does not eliminate any food group; it only teaches you to make the right source of carbohydrates and fats. There are 3 phases of the diet where you could use the recipes of the south beach to achieve the results within the given time frame of the diet plan. The recipes will help you to prefer lean meats in preparing and cooking main meals like chicken, turkey and fish. You also can use low glycemic index vegetables in cooking, low fat cheese and eggs. During the second phase the foods that are restricted will be introduced but with the healthier sources and in the phase 3 you have to follow it for life.
