Oh god, another day for a busy woman that has a family, a job, and other responsibilities. She goes to the mirror and sees this "other" person looking back at her. In her mind, she knows that losing weight is something she really wants to do. Decides to start tomorrow after she gets all that needs to be done today and can get organized. Yea, right, there is always another tomorrow and a month's gone by and still looking in the mirror for the pretty woman to be looking back at her.

How often has that happened to you? I know the answer and so do you. The more important question is what to do about it. Losing weight is a big decision because it will require time and discipline with a goal in mind. You are already filling up your day with all you have to do with job, kids, husband, friends, etc. Now you are going to ad another activity that will take time and mental stress (especially if you have been on 100's of other diets with no results). There is a way, so let's look at the solution so you will find the pretty woman inside that is trying to get out of the stranger in the mirror.

First, think about how much weight you want to lose and set yourself a time line to lose it. This beginning is where many woman make a fatal mistake the dooms them to failure. Too much weight in too short a time period. Weight loss often is a "figment of your imagination." It is the pace that will win this race. Consistency and the belief you lose the weight is an important part of your program. Set an initial goal of 10 pounds in 30 days. Write it down. See yourself 10 pounds smaller.

Start by watching what you eat. Some foods are fat burners, some are fat packers. This does not take extra time, it takes extra discipline! Be sure to include Fruits and vegetables. Have you ever seen a fat Vegan? High protein milk products, cheese, and yogurt. Lean meat for protein which is a good fat burner. Fiber also is a good fat burner and good for you "system." Sugar has got to go. Cut it out of your diet! It turns into fat inside your body. Gross...

Also, exercise is an important part of losing weight. You don't have to join an exercise boot camp to lose weight. But you do need to do some exercise along with modifying what you eat and the right mental attitude will guarantee your success.

Do you have a friend you trust and can share what your goal is? It is always much easier to stay on track when you have a support team that is cheering you on and believe you are going to hit your goals. Find someone that can walk with you, or go to the gym with you for a short workout. Get their opinions on what the best foods to eat are. See if they will stay with the kids while you go for a 3 mile walk or run to the gym. Choose a gym that has day care facilities while you work out. As soon as your husband comes home, have him watch the kids for a half hour. Take advantage of the weekends and all of the family go for a bike ride. Make losing weight a fun experience. You will be so happy when you get on the scales and see a 1-2-5-10 pounds lighter you. Once you hit that goal, you might want to keep on going until you are at the weight you have dreamed of and are now seeing that you can do it. It will give you a whole new relationship with your mirror!
